Senior Professor Archana Shukla Re-Appointed as Director-in-charge in IIM Lucknow

Professor Shukla who is the most senior professor in IIM Lucknow will take up the responsibilities of Director-in-charge till a permanent director is appointment as per the stipulated in Clause(9), IIM Act 2017

The Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIML) has reappointed Archana Shukla as director-in-charge, a position she previously held. Shukla, IIM Lucknow’s most senior professor, will serve as director-in-charge until a permanent director is chosen, as required under Clause (9) of the IIM Act 2017. N. Chandrasekaran, the chairperson of the IIM Lucknow Board of Governors, made the decision, according to an official release.

Shukla focuses in Human Resource Management at IIML, bringing over 30 years of teaching and research expertise. She earned a PhD in Psychology from IIT Kanpur and formerly served as chair of the Dr. Ishwar Dayal Chair for Futuristic Issues in the Behavioral Sciences from 2015 to 2017.

Moreover, Shukla has authored a book, numerous papers, and case studies on topics such as organizational structure, organizational adaptation and knowledge management respectively. A dynamic scholar, she has been instrumental in developing many policies and progressive practices and has contributed to the enhancement of the education.

IIM Lucknow, established in 1984, is India’s fourth IIM after IIM Calcutta, IIM Ahmedabad, and IIM Bangalore. It was the first IIM to offer a two-year full-time MBA curriculum in Sustainable Management, as well as a full-time MBA programme in Agri-Business Management.
