The Department of School Education and Literacy is celebrating Shiksha Saptah from July 22 to 28, 2024, marking the 4th anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020). This week-long event will highlight the educational reforms introduced by NEP 2020 and foster collaboration among teachers, students, and stakeholders. Each day of the week is dedicated to a different aspect of education, promoting the overall development of those involved.
Day 1 – Monday, July 22, 2024: TLM (Teaching Learning Material) Day
The Ministry of Education announced on X that the first day of Shiksha Saptah focuses on motivating educators to use local resources to create high-quality, curriculum-aligned Teaching Learning Materials. This initiative aims to foster a dynamic learning environment that prioritizes student learning outcomes.
Day 2 – Tuesday, July 23, 2024: FLN Day
The focus will be on raising awareness among all stakeholders for the successful implementation of the NIPUN/FLN Mission.
Day 3 – Wednesday, July 24, 2024: Sports Day
Competitions will be organized in collaboration with the Department of Sports, Department of Youth Affairs, NSS, and community members.
Day 4 – Thursday, July 25, 2024: Cultural Day
Cultural activities will be held to inculcate a sense of unity and diversity among students.
Day 5 – Friday, July 26, 2024: Skilling and Digital Initiatives Day
This day will emphasize understanding the evolving job market and the need for new skills. It will also highlight digital initiatives that enhance the overall classroom experience, focusing on skill education for building a competent and competitive workforce.
Day 6 – Saturday, July 27, 2024: Mission LiFE/School Nutrition Day
Eco clubs will be established in schools, and a plantation drive will be organized under the #Plant4Mother initiative to strengthen the bond between students, their mothers, and Mother Earth.
Day 7 – Sunday, July 28, 2024: Community Involvement Day
The final day will concentrate on fostering collaboration with local communities, SMCs, PTA, and PRIs to promote the socio-emotional well-being of students and provide an ecosystem for skill development. Activities will include Tithi Bhojan and Vidyanjali programs.
