Graduates in engineering and technology who passed the Maharashtra MBA/MMS common entrance exam (CET) would be qualified for admission. The upcoming academic year 2024–2025 will see the launch of a two-year Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Development (IEV) at the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai. Graduates in engineering and technology who passed the Maharashtra MBA/MMS common entrance exam (CET) would be qualified for admission.
ICT has never offered a degree course other than engineering till now. Vice-Chancellor of ICT Professor Aniruddha Pandit stated, “We don’t want to follow the traditional route of the management course; this course will be unique and give students an opportunity to become entrepreneurs.” After the first two semesters of this two-year course, we are adding an extra immersion course. Students will have the chance to work in villages and other settings throughout this three-month course to discover their talents and choose up any topic for entrepreneurship.”
The All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has approved the course. The first batch of 18 students will be taught by the institute in accordance with the regulations. “Faculty members of ICT, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute Management Studies (JBIMS), and Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) will be part of daily educational activities,” said Professor Pandit. In addition, ICT intends to invite four to five of its successful alumni to serve as guest lecturers, sharing their experiences with the students.
