IIT Delhi Introduces an Executive Program Focused on Healthcare Entrepreneurship and Management

The Executive Programme in Healthcare Entrepreneurship and Management, offered by IIT Delhi, will begin on April 6, 2024. Prospective candidates have the opportunity to register until March 31, 2024. The program fee is Rs 1.10 lakh plus GST. As a component of its Continuing Education Programme (CEP), this initiative aims to empower professionals with the essential expertise and insights to leverage entrepreneurial prospects within the healthcare industry.

The executive program, spanning five months, encompasses 80 hours of synchronous live online lectures and more than 40 hours of project work. It delves into cutting-edge prototype development processes, tools, and testing methods, with a strong emphasis on the role of AI/ML in navigating the business landscape.

Designed to cater to a diverse audience, including graduates aspiring to contribute to India’s healthcare ecosystem or establish healthcare start-ups, as well as doctors, biomedical/biotech/interdisciplinary engineers, researchers, medical professionals, and postgraduate students in healthcare-related fields, the program offers a comprehensive curriculum. This curriculum covers essential topics such as product branding, pricing, sales, commercialization, and management concepts related to business model development, funding, and intellectual property, as per IIT-Delhi.

Dr. Arnab Chanda and Dr. Biswarup Mukherjee, both faculty members at the Center for Biomedical Engineering, IIT Delhi, and joint faculties at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, AIIMS Delhi, emphasized, “In the dynamic healthcare landscape, professionals must remain at the forefront of innovation. This program is tailored to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the intricacies of the healthcare industry and drive impactful change.”
