Physics Wallah online has experienced an increase in students opting for test preparation – NEET, JEE, UPSC, Gate, and other exams. EdTech Unicorn Physics Wallah (PW) has experienced more than 100% increase in its online business for the academic year 2024-25.

PW’s annual flagship event, Vishwas Diwas, attracted over 200,000 enrollments and generated over ₹100 crore in revenue within 12 days of its launch for the academic year.
According to Atul Kumar, CEO of PW Online, the company’s online business remains a growth driver for the edtech unicorn, accounting for roughly 60% of its sales. The offline industry accounts for 40% of the revenue.

“Currently PW online has 27 lakh paid users of the app. We aim to double our revenue in this academic year,” said Kumar.

He stated that India’s internet penetration rate has increased, indicating a vast addressable market and tremendous potential for online learning, particularly in locations where traditional brick-and-mortar education is not accessible due to high capital cost and teacher shortages.

“With a rising number of students taking board and competitive exams annually, there is also a clear indication of the expanding scope for PW’s addressable market,” Kumar said.

PW online has experienced an increase in the number of students preparing for tests such as NEET, JEE, UPSC, Gate, and other exams.
“Our courses are roughly one-third the price of others while retaining the same level of education quality. “NEET is our best-selling test preparation course,” he said.

In FY23, enrollment in the online paid course sector increased by 182 percent over the previous year, while its in-house Artificial Intelligence (AI) education suite, ‘Alakh AI’, has attracted over 1.5 million users in less than two months after its launch.
According to cofounder Prateek Maheshwari, Physics Wallah is expected to generate over ₹2,000 crore in revenue during the current fiscal year 2023-24 (FY24).
