The faculty development programme was organized by the Department of Management Studies from June 12 to 18, under the direction of Principal Dr Archna Prasad. Dr. Lalitha Balakrishnan, Management Consultant, launched the program, which focused on “Setting New Benchmarks in Management Education“.
According to a college statement, effective pedagogical tools such as the case study method, simulation-based learning, gamification, story telling, and the use of digital tools for interactive learning were discussed with domain experts such as Dr. Anuradha Prashant, Kiran Surti, Kartic Vaidyanathan, and Janaki Simon Peteer Paul.

To bridge the gap between industry and academics, talks on placement, networking with industry, increasing school rankings, and promoting entrepreneurship were organized. Resource individuals such as Captain Venkatraman from the Madras Management Association, V Raja from Cavin-Kare, Arindam Business Standard, and Dr Beula David were asked to speak.

A one-day visit to the IIT Incubation Centre was also planned to shed light on the support framework for aspiring entrepreneurs. Eminent speakers such as Bhanu Kumar, Krishna Srinivas – Tube Investments, Dr Thenmozhi, IIT Madras, and Dinesh Gajendran, Audacious Dreams, offered Capacity Building Sessions for the faculty on membership and collaborations, management consulting, research, and publications.
