Participants in the new program will have the chance to interact with IIT professors and network with industry peers. The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) Academy, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), has announced the launch of the Advanced Certificate Program in Automotive Operation and Future Technologies.
This intensive 7-day program, hosted at the IIT Delhi campus, is designed to transform the automotive industry by providing Dealer Principals and leadership teams at auto dealerships with advanced knowledge and skills.
Vinkesh Gulati, Chairman of FADA Academy and Research, emphasized, “This partnership with IIT Delhi is a significant step in our mission to equip the automotive dealership community with advanced education and training. Given the uncertainties surrounding future technologies and the complexities of dealership operations, it is essential to prepare Dealer Principals to face these challenges. The curriculum encompasses a wide range of topics including automotive operations, future technologies, team dynamics, leadership, change management, data mining, IT and AI in dealerships, charging infrastructure, battery technology, hybrid and alternate energy vehicles, automotive health monitoring, and sustainability.
Dr. Deepak Kumar, Professor at the Centre for Automotive Research and Tribology at IIT Delhi, noted, “The curriculum is carefully crafted to address both management and technical aspects critical to the future of the automotive industry. Participants will benefit from insights provided by leading experts and hands-on experience in our cutting-edge laboratories.”
Bijaya Ketan Panigrahi, Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi, added, “This program offers a unique mix of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, especially in the rapidly evolving areas of electric and hybrid vehicles. Our goal is to prepare participants to understand and lead the shift toward more advanced and sustainable automotive technologies.”
The curriculum also includes training on connected and autonomous vehicles, operations management, inventory and demand management, predictive analysis, financial and marketing management, and visits to relevant laboratories.
